The Cambridge RedHawks continue to sign their hometown talent adding John McDonald to the roster for their inaugural season in the GOJHL this fall. McDonald is a 17 year old forward and he joins Mark Cooper and Ben McFarlane who also hail from Cambridge.

McDonald spent last season playing in the Provincial Junior Hockey League with the Ayr Centennials and he scored some highlight reel goals for the Cens. He finished the regular season with 15 goals and 26 assists helping Ayr reach the Doherty Division championship series. Before that, McDonald played Minor Midget hockey with the Cambridge Hawks.

Cambridge is led this year by head coach Adam Wallace and they will open training camp next month. The team will play out of the Galt Arena Gardens in the Midwestern Conference of the GOJHL. For more information on the RedHawks, check them out on Twitter @RedHawks_JrB
